The second World Race, otherwise known as the squad leading journey, is officially underway and the Lord is definitely speaking. Our first stop was Siem Reap, Cambodia, where the entire squad stayed at Overflow Guest House, an Adventures in Missions base. We were one of the first squads to be hosted there and consequently, were able to help cover the place in prayer and begin ushering in an atmosphere of worship. The roof of the building was recently finished, and those who run the base wanted our help in establishing it as a church, not just a place for people to spend time. It was incredibly rewarding.
During our time there, one of our hosts mentioned the idea of light trails. Believers, because they carry the very spirit of God, bring the light with them wherever they go. It’s not something that requires effort, it’s simply fact. Where a believer goes, the Light goes too. For one of the off days, we had the chance to visit Angkor Wat. Our host petitioned us to remember that we leave light trails wherever we go, especially when entering darker places.
I love that idea. Simply by walking as a daughter of God, each of my steps leaves a trail of of light. It makes me want to walk to as many places as possible. Let’s spread that light!
