With the decision to officially dive in for this crazy adventure behind me, I have had some time to stop and consider what this year will bring.  To be perfectly honest, I don't really know what to expect.  That's among the top reasons why I want to go.  The two expectations that I can put into words are:

1. God is going to do incredible things.

2. This is going to be life-changing.

There you have it.  I suppose there are expectations of what it will be like to live out of a pack for a year, sleep in a tent, have uncertain shower conditions, and anything associated with the living circumstances.  The way I'm approaching all of that is it will be nothing like what I expect so I am trying to keep any of those ideas to a minimum.  I look forward to the surprise.  I can't even begin to imagine the types of people we will have the chance to talk to or the things we will see or the challenges we will face.  I'm game.  I'm willing to be His hands and feet in the words of Audio Adrenaline. I fully anticipate that we will experience tough things on this trip but there will also be incredible beauty and joy to accompany those tough times.  To state differently, it will not be easy.  That's OK.  I do firmly believe that it will be rewarding in ways we don't understand yet.  I'm so excited. Let's race.
